During the 2018-2019 season, several PGA TOUR players who are Official Birdies for the Brave Player Supporters have garnered championships, bringing added attention to the needs of military members, veterans and their families.
On the PGA TOUR, Cameron Champ took home championships during the last two seasons, earning titles at the Sanderson Farms Championship (2018) and the Safeway Open (2019); Bryson DeChambeau claimed a victory at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and; and Birdies for the Brave Founder Phil Mickelson topped the leader board at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. In addition, long-time Birdies for the Brave Player Supporter Bubba Watson won three times in 2018 (Genesis Open, World Golf Championships – Dell Technologies Match Play and Travelers Championship) – all considered part of the 2017-2018 season.
On the PGA TOUR Champions, Birdies for the Brave Player Supporter Jerry Kelly won three times in 2019, earning wins at the American Family Insurance Championship, The Ally Challenge and the SAS Championship. Kelly is currently in second place in the race to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in November, the season-ending event on PGA TOUR Champions.
