PGA TOUR player Ryan Palmer stepped up his game during THE NORTHERN TRUST at Liberty National Golf Club – the first FedExCup Playoff Event of the 2019 season. Palmer carried one specially-designed bag each day starting on Wednesday, each featuring the official service seal of one of the five branches of the military: U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army.
Thanks to Palmer’s generosity, golf fans can own a piece of history while supporting our military by participating in a special online charity auction that went live on Saturday, August 10, on the Leaderboard auction site. The auction includes the five premium-quality custom golf bags carried by Palmer which were designed by United Rentals, the Official Equipment Rental Supplier of the PGA TOUR. Each one-of-a-kind collector’s item has been autographed by Palmer as well as many of the PGA TOUR players who competed in last week’s THE NORTHERN TRUST. Each bag will be auctioned off separately.
To access the online auction, click here. The auction is scheduled to end on Sunday, August 25, and the minimum bid for each bag is $1,000.
All proceeds from the online auction will benefit 10 non-profit military homefront charities that are part of Birdies for the Brave, a collaborative effort of the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Charities, Inc. and the TPC Network which is dedicated to honoring and showing appreciation to the courageous men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
