The 5th Annual Patriots Luncheon at the Barracuda Championship, featuring K9s For Warriors

The Barracuda Championship hosted its 5th Annual Patriots Luncheon at the Nevada Air National Guard base during tournament week in Reno, Nev., benefiting Veterans Guest House and Birdies for the Brave homefront group K9s For Warriors.

During the luncheon, Bill Kendall, retired Chief Mater Sergeant of the United States Air Force, spoke about his experience as the recipient of a K9s For Warriors service dog and the impact the organization, and the donation, have had on his life. K9s For Warriors is a non-profit organization that rescues dogs from shelters and trains them as service dogs for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) and physical disabilities. During the week, the Barracuda Championship announced that a portion of the proceeds would benefit the adoption of a service dog to be presented to a local wounded veteran.
