Morgan Hoffmann Gives Back while at Home in New Jersey for the FedExCup Playoffs

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (August 20, 2014) – The busiest part of Morgan Hoffmann’s schedule at this week’s Barclays may well have come while his other competitors were still at home, packing lunch for the kids.

He didn’t mind. In fact, he was thrilled. As the first of four events which comprise the FedExCup Playoffs events, only the top 125 in the standings earn a spot in the field. Not only is Hoffmann in the field, but this week in New Jersey, he’s also at home.

Born and raised in nearby Franklin Lakes, Hoffmann made this season on the PGA TOUR a good one for him, one good enough to finish No. 124 in FedExCup points and enjoy a home game this week at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus.

As he enthusiastically expected, the home boy’s time was a hot commodity. In conjunction with Birdies for the Brave, his week began first thing Monday at the Picatinny Arsenal Golf Course in Rockaway Township. His appearance and involvement honored both kids and adults, though the real honor is claimed by Hoffmann.
