United Rentals teams with Birdies for the Brave to honor and empower military families During eight PGA TOUR tournaments in 2017
Underscoring its long-standing support for our military, United Rentals, Inc. – the largest equipment rental company in the world and a PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partner as the “Official Equipment Rental Supplier of the PGA TOUR” – continues to express gratitude to those who proudly serve our country by conducting a variety of military-focused programs during select PGA TOUR tournaments in 2017.
Among the programs, United Rentals will serve as Presenting Sponsor of Birdies for the Brave Patriots’ Outpost military-exclusive hospitality chalets at eight tournaments, providing guests with an opportunity to share camaraderie with other military members and enjoy complimentary food and beverages while watching all the tournament action with premium views. Kicking off its 2017 season, United Rentals welcomed hundreds of military guests to the Outpost during the World Golf Championships – Dell Match Play in Austin, TX, March 22-26.
In addition, the company is sponsoring the Birdies for the Brave Military Caddie Program at five tournaments in 2017, providing up to 20 active duty military members at each tournament with the unique opportunity to caddie for TOUR players on the designated military appreciation hole during the Pro-Am.
United Rentals will also reinforce its commitment to provide jobs to returning combat veterans and veteran spouses by hosting employment opportunity kiosks inside each Patriots’ Outpost chalet it sponsors. Each kiosk will be customized to provide information about the company’s outstanding benefits and career opportunities specific to the region, including the opportunity for veterans to participate in the company’s 10-week Service Technician Training Program. Upon graduation from the program, veterans will be offered a full-time position with United Rentals.
