Player Profile – Hunter Mahan
Hunter turned pro in 2003 and claimed his first victory in 2007 at the Travelers Championship. As a result of his success in 2007, he was selected by Jack Nicklaus as one of two captain’s picks for the U.S. Presidents Cup. He has six PGA TOUR victories to his name, including The Barclays in 2014, when he finished the season sixth in the FedExCup standings, 21st in World Rankings, and the only player to advance to the TOUR Championship all eight years of the FedExCup era. Hunter and his wife, Kandi, have three children.
Hunter’s Support For Operation Shower
Hunter serves as the official PGA TOUR Player Supporter for Birdies for the Brave homefront group, Operation Shower. Hunter and Kandi have hosted numerous Operation Shower events, as well as provided gifts and financial support to military families in need. In 2012, the Mahans founded the Mahan Foundation, a non-profit that supports a variety of initiatives focused on health and wellness, children and the military.
