Bryson DeChambeau

Player Profile – Bryson DeChambeau

Bryson DeChambeau burst onto the PGA TOUR in 2016 after a stellar amateur career, during which he won the 2010 California State Junior Championships and represented the USA at the 2014 Palmer Cup in England; the 2014 World Amateur Team Championships in Japan; and the 2015 Walker Cup.  In 2015 while competing for Southern Methodist University, DeChambeau became only the fifth player in history to win the NCAA Championship and the U.S. Amateur Championship in the same year, joining Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Ryan Moore.  Since joining the TOUR, he has raced to the top of the leaderboard, with two championships to his credit: The John Deere Classic in 2017 and The Memorial in 2018.  He garnered three top-five finishes in the first few months of 2018, and does not appear to be slowing down.  Nicknamed “The Mad Scientist” – having majored in physics at SMU, DeChambeau takes a scientific approach to his golf mechanics. He joined Birdies for the Brave as an Official PGA TOUR Player Supporter in June 2018 during the week of his monumental win at the Memorial Tournament, and is excited about the opportunity to give back to the courageous men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and their families by participating in military outreach and appreciation activities during tournaments, making personal appearances to thank the troops, and supporting fundraising events.
